Birthday Card for Mom

I was so excited to have made my mother a birthday card this year! I sat down and knocked off two birthday cards at once, something that I haven't done in ages!

When I discovered that Lisa Johnson had created a Forget-Me-Not set for My Favorite Things, I had to have it! I specifically had my mother in mind for it, but when I sat down to create, I ended up using it primarily on the inside of the card.

Happy Birthday

I'm on a papercrafting roll!

My friend's birthday was yesterday, and she loves teals and purples.

It's a little busy, yet fun!

I used the die-cut inside a die-cut-out method. This is my first zipper card and it ripped halfway through before the paper broke off. I'm guess it's due to the lighter weight patterned paper rather than thicker cardstock.

The only stamp on here is the little "Pull Here!"

Valentines

I was so tickled when Papertrey came out with the Love You to Pieces collection to create the cutest little 3D puzzle punch-outs! They are somewhat labor-intensive but fun and worth the effort.

Since I wanted to limit the number of these that I had to produce, I made them for my youngest daughter's unusually small class size:  5 girls and 11 boys.

For the girls:

For the boys:

Here are the envelopes I decorated:

Once folded up:

Once it is opened:

Hope the kids had fun with them!

Wedding Invites

I promised myself after this experience that I would never make wedding invitations again. I can't seem to help being sucked in somehow, this time due to the small quantity required and the client's non-pickiness.

Regardless of the 30-count required, I designed the most labor-intensive invitation possible! I'm seriously in love with it, though.

The sleeve is removed to reveal the full bride and groom silhouettes.

The interior was composed of 3 layers, sewn together and patterned paper adhered to camouflage it.

I'm always happy when this type of mass production is over. :)
