August Monochromatic Cards - Scrapbook Parade Class

Barely getting these out in time for the class! August, second Saturday, is the next Monochromatic card class, and due to holidays and such, our order at the store was delayed much longer than anticipated. So the samples for the class are only now just completed once our order arrived. Thank you faithful Monochromatic Card class followers that signed up even without knowing what we are making!

So, without further ado, here are the cards.

I'll refer to the cards by the name of the Bazzill cardstock. First up is, Brocade. The name inviokes wealth and elegance. I think this colour does, too.

To blog followers this may look familiar. I created a similar card for a blog challenge not too long ago, here, and some of the customers at Scrapbook Parade requested that I include the card in a class when they saw my entry. So I made a few little changes and this is the result. I like this one much better. I couldn't help wondering if I did it a third time would it be better still? lol.

Here are a couple of detail close ups, which may be a little blurry because I got too close with the camera.

Nest in the line up, also make one think of soft luxury, Cashmere.

And more too close shots for closeups.

Next we have Aqua, a gorgeous colour. The one thing that I'm quite proud of with this card, is that I managed to make all those Liquid Pearls close in size! That is quite the undertaking. It must be all that practice I get teaching classes.

Scoring the diamond pattern turned out to be more challengingas I hadn't done that technique in quite a while.

Here are a couple of other detail shots for this card.

So, the last card for the August Monochromatic card series is, Citrus. Another gorgeous colour.

Well that's it for the August Monochromatic Card Classes. I have September's ready too and will post them soon. Below you'll find what I used for each card. Thank you so much for stopping by to have a peek and leave your comments. Till next time! Happy crafting!
